I am a qualified primary teacher from Yorkshire and an experienced private tutor based in York. I studied Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Edinburgh before completing my PGCE in Primary Education.
I worked in primary schools in the UK and abroad for several years before becoming a full-time private tutor. I have now been tutoring privately for over 8 years, supporting children and young people across a range of ages and abilties.
I specialise in primary English and maths, including Year 6 SATs preparation and 11+ tuition. I also teach French at primary level and Spanish from primary to GCSE level.
I have a CELTA qualification and have experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in both France and Spain. I offer EFL tuition to children and adults, helping learners develop their English for everyday life, study and work.
I particularly enjoy creating lessons that are tailored to each learner. My aim is to help pupils build confidence as well as develop their academic skills, in a calm, friendly and encouraging environment.
I offer tuition in person in York and online.
